June 5-9 Full Day (9am-4pm) Robotics Camp for Grades 5-7
This is a Full Day, full week (M-F) Camp designed for campers ages 9-12 in 5th-7th grades.

| During the morning session we will use LEGO® Spike Prime Robotics Kits and Scratch Based Programming in Snapology’s AttackBots Robotics. Campers will build a variety of robots that will respond to their programmed commands. |
| During the afternoon session we will use LEGO® WeDo Robotics Kits and Scratch Based Programming in Snapology’s Inventors Club Robotics. Campers will learn about the process real inventors go through while they design, build and program robotic models. |
| Throughout this Full Day Camp while working with a partner to solve the various challenges, campers will be challenged to understand how to effectively utilize a sensor, how different mechanical components can alter the power and speed of their machine, and how programming is a challenging but rewarding skill that they can master with just a little practice. |

| During the morning session we will use LEGO® Spike Prime Robotics Kits and Scratch Based Programming in Snapology’s Incredible Inventions Robotics. In this exciting program, campers will design and build and a variety of robots to solve given challenges. Campers will also create scratch programming for their robots to respond to commands. |
| During the afternoon session, we will use LEGO® Technic Bricks in Snapology’s Amusement Park Adventures. We will learn all about amusement park engineering and physics. Campers will design and build amusement park rides in this super fun program! Campers will explore physics principles as they create rides that simulate the forces created in amusement park rides. |
| Throughout this full day camp campers will learn about the process real inventors go through while they design, build and program robotic models. Campers will also use the design process to design and create amusement park rides. During the last day of camp using LEGO® technic bricks and other building materials students will apply what they have learned to design and create a complete Amusement Park. Parents will be invited join us at the end of the last day to see our campers amazing amusement park model. |

Description:
Inspired by Harry Potter™. Be transported onto the secretive world of wizards and witches in Snapology’s Wizarding program, inspired by the Harry Potter™ film series! In this program, students will explore their favorite aspects of the film series by exploring all that makes Hogwarts and learning magic so— well, magical! Students will create the castle they love, make maps to navigate it, be sorted into their house and repeatedly express the pride of their house. This class will spark their imaginations and encourage creative reasoning in new ways, allowing them to build amazing things they have only dreamed of before! They’ll enjoy themselves so much, you might think we have them under a spell!

In Snapology’s Science of Superpowers program, children will learn about the science behind their favorite heroes’ powers. Campers will learn about gravity, aerodynamics, forces, motion, and much more as they learn about flight, super villain fights, and superhero vehicles.

July 24-26 2023 Preschool Camps for Ages 3-5
These are 45-minute 3-day camps designed for preschoolers. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

| 9-9:45 AM | Jr. Scientists: All About Animals Do you know what mammal is the largest on Earth? Or how a caterpillar becomes a butterfly? In this program, we invite your little zoologist to analyze the differences between vertebrates and invertebrates, construct their way through the butterfly and frog life cycles, build reptiles, and examine the differences and similarities between insects and arachnids using Kid K’NEX® pieces. Your child will be too busy exploring the animal world to realize that they are gaining critical social, motor, and developmental skills. |
| 10-10:45 AM | Young students build fun and simple models using DUPLO® Technic blocks. By playing with and manipulating the models, they experience pulleys, levers, gears, wheels and axles while exploring energy, buoyancy, and balance. Classes include free-building time to promote creativity. |
August 7-11 2023 Full Day (9am-4pm) Technology Camp for Grades 5-7

| During the morning session we will be introduced to the world of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) in Snapology’s Drone Commander. Campers will develop a deep understanding how to control and manage this exciting technology. We will work together carefully to learn about the types of UAVs, the parts needed for controlled flight, the forces of flight, basic drone safety, and a variety of flying maneuvers. |
| During the afternoon session we will use tablets and LEGO® Bricks to create stop motion movies in Snapology’s Animation Studio. Campers will create amazing movies with stop motion animation using LEGO® bricks. Children will work in teams to produce their very own movie complete with dialogue and sound effects. Movies are uploaded to a secure site for family and friends to see how cool they are! |

| During the morning session we will use LEGO® Spike Prime Robotics Kits and Scratch Based Programming in Snapology’s Robotic Olympics. In this exciting program, campers will build and program robots to compete in sports- themed challenges! Your child will expand their engineering skills by designing and experimenting with robotic attachments and refine their computer programming abilities by creating program codes that make their bots run races, play hockey, and so much more. Students will work in groups to complete these exciting challenges. By giving our students challenges through games and friendly competition, they don’t realize how quickly they are learning core programming skills for a future in STEM. |
| During the afternoon session, we will use Laptops and Stencyl Programming in Snapology’s Video Game Design. Campers will ceate their own video game in this awesome Snapology program. We’ll teach you how to design your very own online game that can be shared and played at home with family & friends. Don’t miss out. |

A gift card can be applied to Summer Camps, After School Programs, and Interactive Play Sessions. Great for grandparents and those who want to give the gift of an experience, but aren’t sure about scheduling.
Frequently Asked Questions
How far in advance do I need to reserve a spot?
We recommend that you reserve your spaces now. Last summer our camps sold out FAST and we anticipate the same happening this year. We had a long waiting list!
What days and times do you offer?
We have morning (9-12) at GEARS and full day (9-4) sessions at E-town College. Mix and match to suit your family’s needs.
Camps at GEARS are Monday through Thursday and at E-town College M-F.
Do you provide lunch?
We do not provide lunch. If you are staying for a Full Day camp you will need to pack a NUT FREE non-perishable lunch (or in a cooler lunch box) for your child.
Do you provide snacks?
We do not provide snacks, but we do take a snack break in both the AM and PM camps.
We ask parents to send a NUT FREE non-perishable snack and water bottle for their child if they are attending a half-day camp.
If your child is attending a full day camp, we ask you to pack two NUT FREE non-perishable snacks, a NUT FREE non-perishable lunch, and a water bottle.
What is your policy on foods with NUTS?
We are a nut restrictive camp. This means that we request all students to bring only NUT FREE food.
However, we cannot guarantee that we are NUT FREE. Occasionally students do show up with products in their snack or lunch that contain nuts.
Our staff is trained to isolate any products that we discover which contain nuts.
Students are required to wash their hands immediately after eating with special attention to anyone who had products that contained nuts.
If your child has a nut allergy, we encourage you to disclose that to staff before they attend any programs so that we can take extra precautions to try to eliminate exposure to any nut oils or products.
Do I have to register for a full week?
Yes, all camps are for the full week.
We do not have partial week registration at this time.
Can my child take his project home?
Snapology camps are experience-based camps where students use high-end technology such as tablets, laptops, drones, LEGO® robotics, LEGO® Technic engineering bricks and componets, and LEGO® creative bricks in hands-on projects.
Unless specifically stated in the camp description as having a make-n-take component, children do not keep the projects they build.
Our goal is to provide experiences that are fun, interactive, and educational though play and experimentation using technology that students may not have access to at home.
Is there a waitlist if I can't reserve the times and days that I want?
When a session sells out, we will start a waitlist. People on the waitlist will be notified in order if/when a spot opens up. (Book early to avoid being on a waitllist!)
Do Snapology camps appeal to all ages?
One of the best things about Snapology is its wide appeal to children of all ages. We host a variety of camps for children from 3 years old to 14 years old.
Each camp lists the minimum age and a recommended maximum age based on the subject matter, but older students are welcome.
At the Lancaster Discovery Center, we offer a camp designed for younger students and a camp designed for older students each week. At third party locations we try to provide a mix of camps for different age ranges.
Can I extend the camp time?
Due to low demand last year, we will not offer extended care during the 2023 Summer Camp season.
What is your refund policy?
CANCELLATION BY YOU: We understand that things come up and you may need to cancel or transfer your child to another date or session.
TRANSFER: Simply contact us to let us know the new date or session for which you wish to re-enroll your child. If that date is available we will gladly transfer your child.
REFUND: If you cancel
– more than 4 weeks before the session start date, then you will receive a full refund less a $15 processing fee.
– 2-4 weeks prior to the session start date, a 50% refund will be issued.
– No refund is provided if you cancel within 2 weeks prior to the session.
– No refund is provided for a partially missed camp week regardless of the reason.
MEDICAL ISSUES: We understand that medical issues may arise. Please call us as soon as possible to inform us of your need to cancel.
– We will provide a full refund less a $15 processing fee if you submit a written excuse from your child’s physician. Otherwise, we’re happy to transfer your child to another session based on availability.
CANCELLATION BY SNAPOLOGY: In the event that the activity is canceled, due to low enrollment or any other reason, you will be refunded accordingly.
What if my child misses a day of camp?
MISSED CAMP DAYS:
No refund is provided for missed camp days regardless of the reason.
We do not have partial week registration at this time.
CANCELLATION BY SNAPOLOGY: If a camp or part of a camp is canceled by Snapology you will be refunded accordingly.
